Snösmart started as an idea to provide smart clothing to active people. After growing up in Sweden and spending the last 20 years in the US I wanted to bring gear over here that I'd seen over there. We live and operate out of Anchorage, Alaska, where we also try out all our products. With time we hope to bring you more items to choose from that can help you have fun in the outdoors.

 HOOP Design och Produktion AB was founded in Are, Sweden, in 1999 by Sissi Kewenter. After designing clothing at a large Swedish clothing company for 9 years, Sissi wanted to design great looking, functional wear for active women in any weather.
Her success was immediate. Her attention to detail and use of solid, high quality materials created a loyal following. The garments are today sold under the SKHOOP brand name.
Sissi wanted her designs to work in any season and created the hoop to symbolize a versatile product, one that functions all year around. It guarantees the quality of the design, fabric and fit. All original SKHOOP products have the yellow hoop as an individual detail or as part of a motif, such as the flower.
The best selling padded overskirt is equally effective at work, in the mountains or on the way to a cocktail party. (Sissi actually designed this skirt because she was getting cold walking in her pajamas to the mailbox!)
This model is patent protected - you will always find the yellow hoop on the original.
SKHOOP is now represented in several Nordic countries, selected European boutiques and - from 2007 - in North America.
